Style Guidelines and Conventions

The Association Montessori Internationale uses the following style guidelines for its publications and websites.

British English is used for spelling, date formats and punctuation.

For all other editorial style conventions, AMI refers to the The Chicago Manual of Style.

Citations follow The Chicago Manual of Style citation guidelines.

AMI is committed to having our websites accessible and inclusive for all users regardless of their abilities and location. This includes:

  • building multi-lingual capability;
  • following Web Content Accessibility Guidelines; and 
  • prioritising web performance optimisation, which is critical for global access and environmental sustainability.
