This is a great photograph of my son Mario and me, taken in Barcelona, where I set up home. It was basically the focal point for most of my work in the period 1916 to 1936. The chair was a delightful gift from students from the first course I delivered in Barcelona. See how it shines – it was beautifully gilded. Mario is looking happy – he had just been for a horse ride.
