Courses and Students
The number of courses that Maria Montessori delivered is staggering: with the first one given to Italian students in 1909, a full blown international course was offered as early as 1913 — the first of many more, right up to 1951. Spain, the UK, India, the Netherlands, the USA and Italy were among the countries that benefitted most from her personal presence at their training centres. This section will give an overview of all the courses, with exact dates, locations, the roles of her interpreters, and the names of students that went on to play an important role in the Montessori movement.
