The Best Weapon for Peace—Maria Montessori, Education, and Children's Rights by Erica Moretti has been shortlisted for the Laura Shannon Prize in Modern European History 2024. This Prize is recognised internationally as one of the leading book prizes in the field of European studies. 

In her book, Moretti uncovers the significance of Montessori's evolving philosophy of peace and early childhood education within broader conversations about internationalism and humanitarianism.
